Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S12 comes with 4 suction levels which you can control through the app. A higher suction level is ideal for cleaning stubborn rugs with hair, fur, and trapped dust.

The side brush reaches into the corners of the rooms and objects effectively. So, the cleaning performance of Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S12 is fairly good but not on thick rugs. 

Dreame D9 Max also has 4 suction levels. However, it automatically changes the suction level when it moves from hard floors to carpets or rugs increasing the suction power. This automatic feature reduces the need for micromanagement. It excels in deep digging and cleaning rugs and carpets even for those with furry pets. 

The bristled brushes dig into tile grouts efficiently making it a great choice for both floors and carpeted rooms.
