GHD Air

This is the first fancy hairdryer I've ever owned and, my goodness, you really do get what you pay for. The packaging is gorgeous, obviously, and the hairdryer itself is beautiful to look at. Bit weird to say that about a hairdryer but there it is. It dries my hair in, truly, half the time my last one did (a middling Babyliss one), and it leaves my hair shinier and flippier... after using this my hair is flicky, which is super. The reason I wanted to leave this review, though, is there was *one* slight issue with the attachment that comes with it. Its opening is a wide slit (presumably so you can create a narrow, forceful stream of air) and when I used it, it got so hot I couldn't touch it. It got so hot I was worried it was going to melt, so that came off straight away. It's just something to bear in mind if you need it for styling. Assuming you're good to go with the hairdryer as is, though, with no attachments needed, it's absolutely brilliant. The cord is long, too, so if you're going to be drying your hair a way away from the plug socket, it won't hamper you any... I think it's about 6ft, which is great. It's upwards of £80 which is an awful lot of money for a hairdryer, absolutely, but it's more gentle on the hair, dries it fully twice as fast, feels like it will last forever, and is actually a pleasure to use so I think it's worth every penny.

I have very fine hair which is difficult to style. This hairdryer gives me a salon look and the bounce stays in all day. Previously my hair would look good for a few hours and then go flat and lifeless. It really is amazing the difference this dryer has made. Wish I had bought one years ago.

Wow. As a curly girl I have high standards when it comes to getting a hairdryer to tame my curly hair. The GHD dryer is in my opinion salon professional. It produces sleek hair in a short amount of time. But beware the nozzle does get very hot!! I also have a Dyson and I’d say the GHD is great value for money and the end result is salon perfect hair.

I liked it because it dried fast, but not quite as fast as I was thinking. Like most hairdryers the heat settings need to be adjusted has hot is too hot and medium is too cool.

This is my first Amazon review but I just had to come back here to praise this blow dryer. I purchased it a couple months ago so I have had the opportunity to use it for a while. I have very thick, coarse hair which is so difficult to dry that even the best hair stylist can get overwhelmed dealing with it. This blow dryer not only cuts down on drying time but it gives me the smoothest finish. I barely need to flatiron afterwards. I am so happy I bought it. If you have hair like mine and you’ve been using cheaper drug store blow dryers because you couldn’t imagine spending this much on a hair appliance (like me), give it a shot. It’s worth every penny.

Wow! I had not upgraded my hair dryer for more than 10 years and I can’t believe what a huge difference it made to my hair!!! I got frustrated thinking the hair salon fried my hair because it was just a huge frizz ball at the ends, but it was my hair dryer doing the damage. I put in the same products as usual and then dried my hair with this new hair dryer and my hair is so smooth and silky now ❤️ So happy with this product!!

Excellent hair dryer! I love GHD, I have their straighteners and was really excited to test out this hair dryer. It is beautiful! Comes in a gorgeous box (which makes it a perfect gift), and is elegantly presented inside. I ordered the plum that has a gold accents. It also comes with an attachment that helps smooth out your hair during drying. The hair dryer fits in my small hands well. It is not clunky and is pretty comparable in weight to my other dryer. I wouldn’t class it as light weight, but my arm didn’t feel tired after drying from the weight. It has fantastic drying power, and dried my hair quicker than my old dryer. Easy to use and has 2 different heat settings plus a cool shot. Also 2 different power settings. My only complaints are that the attachment felt a little cheap. It was a pretty thin plastic and I was worried about snapping it when I pushed it on. I also am surprised it didn’t come with anymore attachments especially given the price point. I loved this hair dryer and feel like it left my hair beautifully sleek and dried in less time, however I’m not sure the results can justify the price point for me personally. If price is not an issue, this is an excellent option and would make a great gift.
