Specs & Price Comparison

Brewing Technology

Kruger K-Slim

These two coffee makers brew coffee in very different ways:

The K-Slim features five needles to better uniformly pour water over the coffee grinds since it employs MultiStream Technology.

This ensures a more strong and well-balanced taste by improving flavor extraction. This feature is a huge plus if you value a flavor that is well-rounded and of barista grade.

However, the K-Express provides a “Strong Brew” option in addition to its single-needle method. Because this function slows down the brewing process, the coffee may soak for a longer period of time, giving it a fuller, stronger taste.

So, use the K-Slim for improved coffee extraction and saturation. The K-Express is a better option if you want a stronger, more potent cup.

Water Reservoir Capacity

The water reservoir capacity determines how often you’ll need to refill the machine, which is especially important for households with multiple coffee drinkers.

The Keurig K-Express has a 42-ounce water reservoir, which is decent for a small household or a single user. It allows you to brew several cups before needing a refill.

The Keurig K-Slim, however, has a slightly larger 46-ounce water reservoir. This extra capacity means fewer refills, making it more convenient for larger households or for those who drink multiple cups a day.

Temperature

K-Express Coffee Maker Temperature

Your coffee’s taste and extraction quality are affected by the brewing temperature.

With a temperature of around 160°F, the K-Express brews hotter. Better coffee extraction and a stronger, more fragrant cup are the outcomes of this.
The K-Slim brews at a slightly lower temperature of about 152.4°F.

I personally think that the K-Express coffee tastes slightly better due to the higher temperature and the aroma is greater.

So, the K-Express is the best option if you like a hotter, more flavorful cup, even though this is still within a good range. Some people may notice a milder taste compared to the K-Express.

Our Pick

Both of these coffee machines are very similar. The only noticeable difference is in the technology.

The K-Slim offers a newer MultiStream Technology, and it is cheaper, so that’s why it is our choice.

Keurig K-Express Reviews

Plug and play out of the box. My only issue was when i first filled the resovoir i had a bit of spillage when I inserted the water tank. Most likely user error but I will update if the promblem continues. My other issue was 100 percent my fault I plugged it in and got no power, only to realize i was using the nearby airfryer chord and not the makers lol. Once all of that was settled I found a great quality product at the under 100 price tag. I like the red color and love the fact the overall base is narrow, really great since i have a small room to work with. Brewed the coffee really quick. I diluted the taste because I have to have creamer but it tasted great to me! It's an Easy recommendation. Pull all of the seperate tapes off fill the water container insert your coffee cup ( k-cup / filters) and hit the desired amount. Pretty simple. Also shipping was next day. I don't have any complaints at this time but will keep posted if something changes.

recently purchased the Keurig K-Express Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker in black, and it has been a game-changer for my morning routine! Here are a few reasons why I love it: Versatile Brew Sizes: Whether I need a quick 8 oz. cup or a larger 12 oz. mug to kickstart my day, this coffee maker has me covered. The three brew size options are perfect for any caffeine craving. Strong Brew Feature: The Strong Button is a fantastic addition. It enhances the boldness of my coffee, giving me that extra boost when I need it most. Convenient Water Reservoir: The 42 oz. removable reservoir is a lifesaver. I can brew multiple cups before needing to refill, which is super convenient during busy mornings. Compact and Stylish Design: The sleek black design fits perfectly in my kitchen without taking up too much counter space. It's both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Fast Brewing: This coffee maker brews my coffee quickly, so I never have to wait long for my morning cup. It's a real time-saver! Travel Mug Friendly: The removable drip tray allows me to fit my travel mug easily, making it perfect for on-the-go mornings. Overall, the Keurig K-Express has exceeded my expectations. It's user-friendly, efficient, and delivers delicious coffee every time. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile coffee maker!

I've owned several Keurig items over the years. This is one that I keep at work. It works well, is easy to use, and dispenses your drink of choice at a bearable temperature. Would 100% recommend for others.

This is a nice, simple coffee pot for one or two people. I've had the first one I bought for several months not. Brews well, small so if you have limited counter space it works well. However, I had to buy a replacement because when I was descaling it the instructions said to continue running the solution through until the "add water" light comes on but the light did not come on so I kept running it and it started smoking and quit working completely. Guess I burned it out. But I did like it enough to buy it again and it should be coming in today.

Keurig K-Slim Reviews

I don't typically write reviews, especially for something as trivial as a coffee maker, but this was an interesting journey. I had an ancient, by comparison, Keurig B55 that most resembles the "Classic" model they offer currently. Probably going on 11 years, it finally died. Up until that point, this portion of my counter was basically a coffee station, forcing me to do all my kitchen prep to the right of the stove, keeping the shrine to caffeine unadulterated. I was stunned at all the variants of the Keurig line. It's almost dizzying and makes it nearly impossible to choose one. Some quick googling showed 60+ models, most of which are still sold. Do I need 5 cup sizes (5oz - 14oz)? How about a "strong" setting? Does it do anything? A screen? Or a timer? Or a larger reservoir? What about no reservoir? Seriously, the paradox of choice here is maddening. Having come from a "screened" maker in my previous model, I ended up opting for the K200 model. This one is about 3" less wide that my previous maker, so that was nice. Unfortunately, it had a few issues that I simply could not work around. - The reservoir is U-shaped and honestly very awkward to negotiate both from a refilling and removing perspective. Especially if it's under a cabinet, and you want to refill from a refrigerator water dispenser, as I do. - The coffee was simply not hot enough. Not sure if I got a bum unit, or that's how it is, but it was significantly less hot than what I was used to. - No auto shut-off. Seriously. I thought this was a basic in coffee makers. This, probably the biggest deal-breaker of them all, though, mildly hot coffee was a close second. Enter the K-Slim. I was skeptical because the reviews were, pun intended, no so hot. But the price was right, and I really liked the idea of a sub five-inch width coffee maker on my countertop. This model only has 3 cup sizes, but has the same 40oz reservoir as the K200. Even better, it's a simple rectangle design that I can maneuver easily to and fro my fridge. Having the extra counter space has been such a nice benefit. But moreso, the coffee is hot and, so far, the machine reliable. What I like: - The coffee (Caza Trail Cona Blend) is as hot and tastes as good, possibly even stronger, than my old model - Auto Shut-Off! Unit turns off after 5 minutes of last brew. That might seem aggressive but... - Really fast water heat-up time. I was really amazed. From off to coff(ee) was only a minute or two, obviating the need for a clock/timer function. - Easy/obvious to use, and I really like the "level" drop in hole for the k-cup. All my others were at an angle for some reason. - Amazingly diminutive size for the countertop reclaim.

Everything about this Keurig is perfect for me. Size is just right. No leakage. Coffee tastes so much better! Happy Belly coffee pods in 100 ct box are wonderful too. I was dripping with a Melitta cone filter for over 20 years once my only other Keurig machine died, which was the size of a spaceship and only lasted a couple of years. But, I suddenly grew weary of the Melitta process and purchased this at a good sale price. It's so freaking easy to use and maintain! I got the white...boring, but fits in anywhere. I drink a copious amount of coffee daily and I've found my new normal. UPDATE: 1/03/25. I've come to realize it's the same old garbage machine as I once owned. Short-lived love affair. The coffee grew less hot within a few weeks. I only ever used bottled water. When it started flashing to de-scale, that's where it went south. I've tried a white vinegar/water mixture, Keurig brand descaler, a knock off descaler. That light is still flashing. So, I just unpacked my new Ninja brewer...better looking, lots of extras, huge reservoir, exact same footprint, and the coffee is hot, smooth and full-bodied. I'm annoyed I wasted my money on Keurig. It will not happen again.

It is hard to find a 5-star product these days. This coffee maker is not an exception. It's light weight plastic, which may easily come out of service any time. The cons are beautiful dark red mat color, space saver, good coffee temperature. I had so many different coffee makers and all of them went to donations. I ended up with the French press for fresh grounds and k-cup maker for a quick coffee/tea. 8 oz gives best taste in this maker. The temperature is not super hot, but hot enough to drink fresh coffee right away. Also, the water tank is not as small as I thought. It is good for 4 mugs of 8-10 oz. I don't give recommendations for this machine. Everybody knows what s/he looks for. I am completely satisfied on the initial stage. Will see how long it will last 🙂

This is the perfect coffee maker for small spaces. It makes 8, 10 and 12 ounce cups. It’s fast and fairly quiet. I use it every day. I’ve had it since the end of December 2024. ISO far it has performed excellent.
