Battery Life

If there’s one thing people need to know when purchasing a machine like a robot vacuum, you will want to know about the battery life. After all, you don’t want a robot vacuum that just stops working after 20 to 30 minutes. That’s not enough time to clean the floor of a room. So we have to compare the battery life of each model.

Both the Xiaomi E10 and E10C have a 2600 mAh battery, which are both Lithium Ion and are advertised to have a battery life of 1 hour and 50 minutes. When the robot vacuum detects that it is low on battery, it will automatically return to its charging dock and recharge until it is fully charged, allowing it to do another 1 hour and 50 minutes of cleaning (if needed).

However, due to the Xiaomi E10C being able to consume only 35 watts of power, which is 20 less than the E10’s 55 watts, the Xiaomi E10C is able to actually do 1 hour and 50 minutes of cleaning time. Whilst the Xiaomi E10 falls short and mostly lasts a measly 1 hour at the very most, barely going over the limit according to reviewers.

Suction Power

What good is a robot vacuum if it can’t suck up things that’s scattered all over the floor? Luckily, the Xiaomi E10 and E10C both have very powerful suction abilities that can clean up the dirt on your floor without with incredible ease.

The Xiaomi E10 features a much more powerful suction power ability, being at 4000 Pa. While it won’t exactly suck up any gum that’s been stuck on the floor, it will make sure that those pesky crumbs and shredded paper that you forgot to pick up will be taken care of so you can go about your day.

The Xiaomi E10C, on the other hand, features a more tone down suction power of 3500 Pa. It’s not a huge difference, but it’s very noticeable that it will struggle with much bigger dirt and items on the floor than the 4000 Pa of the Xiaomi E10.

Surfaces It Can Clean

Having a robot vacuum may seem like a good time, but you actually have to be careful in which robot vacuum to purchase before you do. First off, examine the floors of your home. Is it hard wood? Tiled? Carpeted? Make sure to take note of the area you are planning on placing the robot vacuum robot vacuum, because not all robot vacuum’s can clean every location of the house.

Take the Xiaomi E10 for example. This robot vacuum is able to clean hard and carpeted floors with ease. It will be able to suck up anything that is caught in the carpets without getting stuck while also moving around. Then it can also clean hard floors with ease, though that’s not something to write home about as hard floors are easily cleanable.

The Xiaomi E10C, however, is only able to clean hard floors. While not exactly a negative, it does mean that the E10C isn’t as versatile as the original E10, which can smoothly transition from carpets to hard floors.

Xiaomi E10

We love this little vacuum! Had originally purchased a Roomba 690 for about the same price at our local Best Buy store. Returned it after a week due to it's lack of navigation and ping-pong cleaning style. It also had trouble finding the dock and the battery would die while searching for it. Since we've switched to the Xiaomi vacuum, we have not experienced any of the issues we had with the Roomba. The fit and finish of the Xiaomi is much better as well. As soon as I took it out of the box, I could tell it was a premium product. It actually employs logic and scanning into it's cleaning routine. While it does bump things ocassionally, it does it softly, as if it knows there's something nearby. It finds it's dock every single time and the battery last long enough to clean our 800sq-ft apartment three times before actually requiring a charge. I would purchase it again and recommend it to anyone who wants to save time in their weekly chores. If I could list one con, it's the main brush. About once a cleaning cycle the vacuum will pause and alert us to clean the main brush. It's usually rolled up quite a bit of long hair and senses when it's having trouble spinning. Otherwise it's a solid little vacuum.

In my opinion this is the best robovac on the market. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Robot Vacuum is way above everyone else. This vacuum is made by Roborock. The Mi Robot Vacuum features an app that fully maps a room, lets you set boundaries, allows you to set schedules, and many other options. My favorite part about this vacuum is that it fully maps a room. It easily navigates around objects and will fully and efficiently clean rooms. I use this on my main floor that has a mix of carpet and hardwood floors. This vacuum does an excellent job at cleaning on both floor types. In my opinion you get what you pay for and I would take this over the cheap robovacs any day. The seller was great also! They sent me setup instructions via email once I ordered the product! I have considered ordering another one for my upstairs.

I bought this to replace a useless Samsung Powerbot that would get stuck in the same area of my house by the fireplace every time it ran. I would need to watch it while it was running to keep it away from that area, which defeats the purpose of a robot vacuum in the first place. The Xiaomi is so much smarter. Unlike the Samsung which more or less motored around aimlessly until it thought everything was clean, the Xiaomi maps and cleans an entire level of my house, breaking it off into sections and methodically cleaning each one until everything is done. The mapping is next level, and if you select the appropriate server you can even select a zone on the map in need of cleaning rather than having it do the entire house. The battery lasts long enough to clean everything twice and the dust bin holds a good amount. It's still new but I am very satisfied with this purchase so far. The instructions and default settings are in Chinese but there are various guides online in English that will walk you through the setup. It's well worth the extra steps for the functionality this vacuum provides.

Good vacuum for the price. Would be nice if it didn't map the house every vacuum as it doesn't retain mapping. It can get stuck behind doors etc. Overall its great on my tiles and carpet.
