I come from a second-generation Xiaomi robot, without cloth, that has worked very well for more than 4 years and will still continue to do it in the house of a couple of friends to whom I gave it. With a newborn, I decided on an upgrade that would also wash the floors. I was and remain a bit skeptical only of the ability to wash robots with a half moon cloth; the speed with which the half moon scrubs with the floor is constructively lower than that of rotating brushes. This is the only robot with rotating brushes at an affordable price, so I decided to get it. I'll do a review after a first use. After opening the package: 1. As soon as the wifi is configured and the firmware updated, we proceed with the mapping of the house. First, I recommend lowering the shutters and darkening the windows that should extend to the floor and to remove any obstacles. In this way, the mapping is very accurate, each room is identified, so later the robot can be told to wash only the kitchen, for example, or to program specific routines. 2. The brushes are moistened and mounted; 3. The tub is filled with water that is not hot (I put it warm) and without detergent (in the manual it is expressly written not to use detergents); 4. Cleaning starts. For my 120 sqm gross house (without furniture) it took about 1 hour and consumed less than half the battery. 5. Once finished, it is necessary to remove the brushes (mine were quite dirty) and wash them, a very quick operation. I put them in the washing machine at 40° without problems. I will buy another set to always have the robot ready. The robot washes very well even without detergents, in the future I think I will try to spray a non-foaming disinfectant directly on the floor for the bathroom and kitchen floors, a few minutes before cleaning; this way it should not interfere with the nozzles of the appliance. After a first use, I didn't see streaks on the light wood-effect stoneware floor. There were no dirt stains left on the kitchen floor and he vacuumed everything well. I think it's a valuable help to keep the house in an acceptable condition; for a more thorough cleaning you can always intervene by hand later, but I don't think you'll want to, except in special cases.
