Both S10 and S12 models have LDS laser navigation which is good at mapping the apartment and effectively cleaning it in the future. Of course, the vacuums will first have to do the mapping, and they will later store it.

These products have a LIDAR dome, which improves navigation, but it increases their height, meaning that they can get stuck under the furniture more often. You should have this in mind.

The battery life of both of these products is similar, and it’s around 130 minutes. However, you should keep in mind that this period depends on the mode in which the vacuum works.

There are four different modes in total for both Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S12. These include silent mode, standard mode, medium mode, and turbo mode, and each of them utilizes a different amount of suction power.

PRO - very nice design; - suction at various levels including the maximum one guarantees a strong suction; - excellent suction of “unexpected” materials (e.g. it vacuums the tissues without problems, an old robot that I had was stuck); - appreciable floor washing; - intelligent and well-considered cleaning and washing system; - through the app complete customization of the work and the type of cleaning you want to obtain; - through the app possibility to set up and create virtual walls without the support of other devices; - after the first time, the robot no longer “collides” against walls or other elements in the room, if they are not moved; - complete autonomy and precision in returning to the base; - the robot announces the progress of the work through voice messages. CONS - first of all, of course, the fact that the cloth is located in the part that comes into contact with the charging base. So to insert or remove it, you have to move the robot manually every time; - it does not clean the corners and it hardly approaches the sides of the room (I would have made a larger cloth, at least it could recover a few spots that way); - the box where the dust is deposited is very small, I who have a long-haired dog must always empty it at the end of cleaning the room because it is full of hair (for impeccable suction); - the base power cable is really short. If you don't have a socket almost at the height of the base, you have to use an extension cord; - the small turret above the robot, where the laser is located for scanning, rises a few centimeters and does not allow passage to certain areas of the room (too bad because it is just 1 cm); - app a little cumbersome, but nothing excessive. Ultimately, this robot helps a lot in cleaning the room and keeps the environment clean much longer. I use it together with another small floor washing robot, which reaches the corners and sides well, and I must say that I see the need to clean manually at most a couple of times a month (to be precise, I walk around the house without slippers), passing these robots a couple of times a day. Ultimately, given the price, I am happy with the purchase and I recommend it.

Great robot vacuum cleaner Found on offer but it's definitely worth the price it has. It vacuums very well (I have two cats and I must say it really changes my life to have it) As for washing, if the floor is clean, it keeps it clean but logically it doesn't wash very well The mapping is accurate

Overall, the vacuum robot is really good. It replaces a Xiaomi 1C which had served very well for almost 3 years. With its laser scanner, the S12 is of course a lot more accurate, even though it didn't get the room layout right away (the 1C with its camera was superior here). Nevertheless, after his first exploratory trip, he leaves the rooms faster and more systematically. Where the 1C was still driving from left to right, the S12 moves from top to bottom (the length of the room) and makes smooth turns when driving, instead of turning on the spot. This absorbs dirt better and is also significantly faster at the same time. I haven't used the mopping function with 1C and I won't use it with the S12 either, as with a 65qm² apartment, preparing the S12 for mopping is greater than simply wiping through it. Nice2Have, but not relevant with this model (at least for me). The suction power is noticeably higher than the 1C, and this is clearly noticeable on short carpets. Even larger crumbs and grains are effortlessly absorbed at standard settings instead of thrown around. The voice output has become smoother compared to the 1C, but the lady's voice sounds really old-fashioned, so I would have liked a much younger and more dynamic voice, similar to Google Assistant or Alexa. I also miss the battery percentage display, now there are bars which are worse to estimate. I myself do not understand why they have dared to take this step backwards. I would definitely recommend the S12. First-class navigation and suction power with many additional functions such as virtual walls, surface cleaning, targeted cleaning of individual or multiple rooms, and so on.

After trying one without a laser and returned one, this one goes great. It maps the house well and then cleans it up quickly and effectively. Nothing is left unattended and you can also see it in the app in real time and the areas it is cleaning.

Purchased without much expectation, it turned out to be a surprise. If you 'help' it with a clear floor and a house without too many obstacles it does a really good job.
